M. Alex Harris (Alex) lives and works in Yavapai County, Arizona. In addition to being a published author (with focus on experiences in Arizona and Oregon), she has served as an attorney, judge, mediator, and teacher. For over 30 years she has shared her love of education with others while teaching at community colleges and universities.

Born in Oregon, Alex attended the University of Oregon and Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland. For the last two decades, Alex has handled a wide variety of cases including everything from the death penalty to special education issues.
